Phil Miller
Phil
has a depth of experience in all residential projects and actively campaigned his J24. As an Ice boat sailor, he finally decided to venture into the sport of soft water sailing to fill the time between winters. He recently completed a workshop to pursue his passion of iceboating, Corvettes and cool trucks…and work in time to fabricate woodworking projects with us.
As a master craftsman, he has many projects to showcase, to include his current residence on 46th Street, Sandusky. Phil worked for Fireland’s Kitchen Company, Huron for several years before starting his own company…Showcase Kitchens. Phil “retired” as a Tool & Die Maker for General Motors.
Phil and his wife Jan have 2 sons and grandchildren to share his passion for music, boating and enjoying hobbies.
John Babcock
John is a lifetime sailor and served the US Navy after high school. Having traveled to 26 countries & 5 continents, John pursued his passion for sailing everywhere he traveled. A true example of the hospitality of sailors around the globe.
John taught English for 7 years after graduation from Ohio State and was a Social worker for 5 years. After which he worked in the construction trades gaining valuable experience used in today in our company.
A passionate seaman, John is active in the Power Squadron where he is working to complete piloting and navigation certifications and serves as an officer for the local group. John also certified as a Marine Technician, graduating from a Marine trade program.
John remains an important mentor and teacher of our young staff, aspiring to become craftsman. A mentor in many respects, he instills his high standards of quality, integrity and morals with our entire group. He also serves on the Marine trades Advisory board.
John has 2 children and enjoys his sailing with his mate Lori.
Steve Muncey
Steve began his career in the marine industry at the age of 4 when his father purchased Sugar Rock Harbor Marina. Nicknamed “Sweeper” to this day, Steve has a very broad background in boating. Unlike the others in our group, Steve comes with a background in power boats to include many decades of following the career of his uncle, the Legendary Champion Bill Muncey, owner/driver of the unlimited hydroplane Atlas Van Lines. He also served in the US Navy.
Steve has 3 decades of experience in restoring yachts. He specializes in structural fiberglass repairs, gelcoat applications and painting systems such as Interlux and Awlgrip. He has also built a home and is very involved in all our residential projects.
Steve and his wife Elaine have 2 children and grandchildren to share his passion of boating & racing.
